Emotional Support

One of the hardest aspects of caregiving is feeling that you are trapped in a situation that nobody else understands.  Caregiver burnout is not simply a term - it is an actual condition that is increasing almost faster than the population needing care.

One of the best ways to find emotional support is to join a Caregivers Support Group.  If you do not know of one near you - contact your local hospital or community service foundation.  If there is not support group near you, contact us to get help establishing one in your area.  It is not complicated and The Caregiver Foundation makes material available and works to provide facilitators to assist your group.
